On our way home from a croquet party (around 1:15am this morning, and yes, it was a late croquet party), Owen and I observed what had to be a 100′ tall wall of flame somewhere in Seattle’s Phinney Ridge neighborhood. Some HUGE fire.
Now, it’s 1:30am, and I can’t find a HINT of news about this anywhere online. DAMNIT INTERNET. YOU ARE TOTALLY FAILING ME! (Then again, the radio failed me, too.)
Update 1:37am: I found the Seattle Police Scanner. They don’t seem to be saying much, other than things like “Engine 30, move to station 25.”
Update 9:00am: Finally, someone has a story. Out of two newspapers and four local television stations, only one tv station has any news about the fire. Weird?
Update 3pm: The Times finally picks up the story.

Seattle Real Time 911 isn’t good for details, but it does show a hell of a lot of units heading that way last night.
