Our 24-hour oddessy to get home ended last night at 7:30pm PST (4:30am CET). Our trip home was a blur of white-knuckle backseat driving in France (lentment, s’il vous plait!), 10am beer in Frankfurt, reading “Tales of the City” on the leg from Frankfurt to DC, and then a rotating cycle of vomiting and sleeping on the DC to Seattle leg of the trip. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I used a barf bag. Weirdest thing though? The stewardess refused to dispose of it. Basically I just sat there with my bag through the entire flight. How delightful! Just one of the beautiful moments of the last month!
But we’re home home home. Not sure if I would have planned a month-long couch surfing tour of Europe for our honeymoon, but that’s what we got, and the trip certainly had its highlights.
Here’s one for you. That’s a 6mb .avi movie file of Andreas and I paddling our way up the Gorge du Verdon in France. [UPDATE: The video file has been removed to free up some space on my server -- sorry folks!]
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

Welcome home! Help me out with the barf bag picture: Why couldn’t you get up from your seat? That is weird about the flight attendant.

Couldn’t get up because I was puking during take off…lots of turbulence heading into and out of DC…the far edge of a hurricane, I guess?
