We have arrived…but, uh, not at the Domain de la Tour du Bon. We are starting our adventures in Apt, a small town in Provence where T. and her husband live. Our travels were just fine…our 9 hour layover in Frankfurt was actually quite delightful. We caught an s-bahn to downtown, wandered around for a bit and then parked out at an outdoor cafe in a town square for a couple hours. I’m not going to say I was super sharp (quote while playing cribbage: “Ooh! Another 2! …oops, sorry: bad poker face.), but the jetlag wasn’t too bad. We managed to stay awake until 10pm, slept well, and now we’re headed off to market with an almost 8-months pregnant (but very active) T..
I should be able to upload some photos to Flickr while I’m here at T.’s. Be watching!
