My goodness, who’s the little busy bee here? Why, that would be me! Thank you so much for noticing.

Yesterday (exactly one week after I got the news that my work at The Paper was done), I was offered a 4 month writer/producer contract (”through the end of Oscar season”) with a movie reviews website. No, I’m not telling you which one (I typically keep relatively quiet about my places of employment), but you can probably figure it out. This is great news! I’ll be working in The Smith Tower, which happens to be right around the corner from my dad’s office. Lots of pa/da lunches. Perfect!

Warmies sales have been surprisingly brisk. Who knew I’d be back in the sweatshop routine again this winter? The real question is whether there’s enough of a demand for them that I should sell them at Rummage. Last year I felt like I was sort of the lower level craft-hack. People would come by my table and say, “Wow, you knitted these?” I’m all, “Oh no: they’re all made from kid’s sweaters. Some machine in Taiwan knitted that.” Gulp. The investment is pretty small to get a table, and I really only have to sell one pair of Warmies to make it worth it. Hmm.

In other news, today I did some chapter outlining for this latest version of Project Glacier, aka my fucking book. Sometimes I look at these chapter titles and think, “Is that really something I can write 4000 words about?” My brain sort of boggles that I have 120,000 words to say about anything. This is why people write children’s books.

Meanwhile there’s one article sitting with an editor on its second revision, and another article waiting for someone to get me some research so I can crank out a first draft. I appear to be a machine these days.
