I love wearing a skirt over my pants. And I hadn't noticed about the legwarmers and Ambercrombie and Fitch. I was about to go upstairs and make a pair. x.x..

Hey, i know what you're sayin' about Abercrombie and legwarmers...that is a good sign it's time to let go. too bad for me, it's the story of my life--everything i design and make for myself or my kids, by the time i get around to making some to sell, it's already out there. last time it happened at Hot Topic, i saw the near spittin' image of my armwarmers there, after i'd been wearing them for 2 years.

the upside of this is, it forces us to keep it fresh.

Other stuff i wasn't quick enough to get rich on: clothing designed with the serger lines on the outside. nearly every local indy designer i know is making cut 'n' paste assemblages with outer serging and although i really dig the look, i can tell it's already getting old. it's tempting to follow the lead, but probably more progressive to move onward. maybe Burning Man wore out the furry legwarmers look....so how about office wear? that's my secret fetish, cutting up pinstriped suits and reconstructing them into something street-worthy. let's see if i can pull it off before Forever 21 does. or am i too late?

m7
