The social psychologist in me is totally facinated by the concept of limerence. I love psychology (and sociology, and social psychology) for taking things we’re all familiar with, and making it science. This is also one of the reasons I love reading danah’s website: Internet community as science! Oh, the tiny atophied academic in me loves it.
Although some may question why I have a BA in Sociology instead of Communications, but only as a sociology major could my years at raves have qualified as “field research.” Ok, ok: maybe in Anthro or American Studies I could have justified it that way too, but probably not.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

Check out the book “Destructive Emotions.” It’s a very good and interesting read. Scientific but easily accessibly to us regular people(read: me).
