In writing another article for Figure, I find myself making a return to my self-help roots. The article is about finding your passion, and I’m finding myself getting passionate about typing: “Get to know yourself. Get out of your head and into your body through journaling, going for walks, or talking with friends about your goals. Take the time to take care of yourself.” Come into my aura, gentle grasshoppers. Let the self-actualized person tell you how it is. Do you want to touch me? Go ahead: it only tingles at first.
My next writing project stands out in stark contrast: I’ll be ghost writing an article for a CFO who will be explaining why this one web app he uses is absolutely the best. There will be no discussions of taking the time to take care of yourself.
Oh, and in terms of my glacial progress at writing a book: in a strange twist of CPC fate, it looks like I’m developing a full proposal for this book. Any chapters you’d like to see written on the subject?
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.
