god, i wish i had seen that. i read the transcript, but it’s not the same. jon stewart is the MAN.
wouldn’t it be funny if this became a big news story, snowballed and actually started to make a DIFFERENCE?

Partisan? PARTISAN?!? I’m going to have to watch that tape, but I hear a pot calling a kettle black. As funny as the Daily Show is, and as much as I agree with Stewart in this and many other instances, I see a pot calling a kettle black. The Daily Show is psuedo-journalism at it’s finest, and extremely partisan (unapologetically so).
On the need for such partisan news-spins for the left, I _highly_ recommend this rant form the Stranger on Michael Moore. It echoes my own feelings on the subject. If the Right plays dirty, we need to do the same thing. It’s sink or swim in the WalMart seas, kids. See “More Moore, Please”:

This is seriously the best example of “honesty” I have seen on a political talk show all fucking year long. GO JON STEWART! By the way, I disagree that he is uber-partisan- he is an equal opportunity mocker (as is South Park), I mean they mocked the living crap out of Bill Clinton when he was prez. They’re obviously vying to get Bush out, but they certainly mock the shit out of Kerry as well
