3 hour feasts of singing and dancing spectacle are just what the doctor ordered to make the long dark Seattle nights seem a little bit brighter. I’ve always been a fan of musicals, and when you toss in the costuming, bad lipsyncing and over-the-top emotionalism of the world’s largest film industry (no, not the USA), I enter a state of campy enraptured bliss. Bring me Bollywood!
Tonight’s film was Main Hoon Na, recommended by an Electrolicious reader. Best end credits ever…sort of like Grease but way better. Also: hilarious wire work. Furthermore: the requisite waterfall/wet sari scene. Rroaw!
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.
