Interesting historical perspective on hippy culture: Hippie Roots & The Perennial Subculture.

Who knew that some of the roots of hippie culture were German? I guess that makes sense in some ways — Germany has a succesful Green party, and Andreas acquired his veganism from a German friend. Still: who knew?
