Fifty-six hours???? I think I went for about 36 (thanks, in part, to some appetizing jet lag) and it was bizarre and surreal. And strangely, I found that in spite of the lack of constant feed (you mean that Wilbanks lady just got cold feet?) it was simple and fun.

Congratulations on your new home again!

Ha! I *hate* Comcast as well and feel your pain. My boyfriend switched us to Verizon DSL because we were getting such poor speeds with Comcast and Verizon was promising 3 mbp/s with a new promo- turns out Verizon's servers weren't handling the overload very well and our speeds originally were WORSE than Comcast. ACK! And now we're using DSL, which in my eyes is like turning back towards the stone age. Finally, after about 10 calls to Verizon and AT LEAST 3 technician visits, we're at about 1.5-2 mbp/s which is at least a slight improvement over Comcast.

We also switched to DirectTV from Comcast (mostly for Sunday ticket come football season), but in total we're saving $40/month btw cable & internet AND we've ditched Comcast! YAYYYYYYY.

Sorry to hear you can't get DSL :(
