This morning I got blog-spotted at a coffee shop in Venice. But the lurking Elish reader snuck off before I could get her email or anything. Jennifer? Where art thou?
This afternoon I spent three hours with a documentary crew who are making a film called “Hulatopia.” I got to be the “hooping head” who talked authoritatively about midcentury american hooping and how difficult intercourse would be if everybody had a hula hoop. Oh and I got to hoop in the Pacific, thus attaining one of my goals for this trip (see next post).
Then I ate a fish taco I’ve been dreaming of for some time (Angelinos, I realize it’s just Rubio’s, but appreciate that shit! Taco Del Mar can’t compare). I’ve visited with numerous old friends, made a couple new ones, and touched the ocean. 24 hours in, this business trip has already been an enormous success.
I’ve taken some pictures. Would you like to see?
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.
