My lord. I’m going to need a vacation after this holiday weekend. Special guest painter: Heidi, who was in town from LA and got roped into helping. Hurrah!
Our french door remodeling project is within a couple hours of being completed. The room is painted a delightful color called “Silverberry” (sort of a greyish lilac), and all that’s left is installing the trim around the door. Then we’re planning to swap the office and sleeping rooms, moving our bed out of the red room and into the silverberry room … hard to resist moving into that room, even thought it’s very small. The red room is closer to the road, doesn’t get any morning sun, and lacks the floor-to-ceiling view of the backyard that the little bedroom now boasts. Plus, the red room is much better for my office: less glare from the sunlight and who doesn’t want an office that feels like a womby boudoir?
We also finally purchased what we think (hope?) will be the right green for the front room. Granted, after painting all weekend, I lack the energy to even think about painting another room. Maybe next month.
Wheeze. There are some pictures on Flickr if you’re interested.
