If you're interested in cystic fibrosis check out the movie "SicK" which chronicles the life & death of 'supermasochistic Bob' who dealt with his ailments by inflicting pain upon himself. It is an INTENSE movie so be forewarned. Let me just say that there's a scene that involves a hammer, a nail, a plank of wood and a very sensitive part of Bob's body. If you can make it past the rough bits, it shows how in the face of serious illness and death, people can still feel in control and even laugh at themselves.
