but this is a really bogus statement:
"Black Rock City LLC, the corporation that runs the show, could allocate a small percentage of ticket revenues for solar panels that could generate more than enough electricity for the whole city."

this person has obviously never investigated the cost of solar power per watt.  i don't know the math off the top of my head but jay's been investigating it as he wanted to make our camp solar powered next year and i'm certain that it's WAY more than a "small percentage" could cover, not to mention the logistics of setting up a temporary power grid out there that you have to put up and take down.</description>
