Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
Inspired by Sarah B’s “Cringe” events in New York, I’ve rallied the troupes here in Seattle for an evening of embarrassing journal-reading that we’re calling The Salon of Shame.
It’s happening next week, and all of you local readers should come on down and say hello. You can drink and laugh at the over-the-top earnestness and melodrama. I’ll be sharing the stage with five other Seattle writers — and you, if you bring your own embarrassing diary to read from.
THE DETAILS
WHEN: 7:30pm – 9:30pm, Wednesday November 9, 2005
WHERE: The Jewelbox Theater, at the Rendezvous. 2322 Second Avenue, Seattle.
WHY: Because it’s fun to laugh at people (and yourself)
COST: $5.00 suggested donation, only $1.00 if you bring your own writing to share.

So when is the next Salon of Shame going to be? My room-mate and I both stayed up way too late that night reading our old journals and giggling, and we’ve got some prime material. So what, where, when?
