Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
I just now realized that many of my favorite narrative nonfic writers are on MySpace! While there are some who collect their favorite bands as buddies, I just spent a few minutes poking around adding David Sedaris and Chuck Klosterman, while mourning the fact that Meghan Daum appears to not be on the site.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, is in bookstores now.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll go check out both of those (and poke around for Douglas Coupland while I’m at it.) It’ll give me something to do on MySpace other than browse inappropriate and compromising photos of former students.

A guy on the plane last week actually told me about Klosterman being on MySpace and said he even writes you back. Tho, he hasn’t even READ my message yet! Shoot!
Maybe my subject line wasn’t compelling enough?

David Sedaris is on Myspace?? I might have to get over my snobbery and hop on there just so I can add him
