Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
One of my co-workers and I got into a passionate discussion this morning about Google Calendar and how excited we are about it.
“It’s AWESOME,” I gushed. “I’m all a-twitter about it.”
Another co-worker sitting near-by said, “In my 12 years of tech work, you two may be the geekiest people I’ve ever met.”
I explained that while yes, I may be geeky, I have a very narrow band of geekiness. I’m a web geek and a writer geek. I am not a hardware geek or a gadget geek.
“Yes, only a web and grammar geek would say something like ‘I’m all a-twitter about Google Calendar,’” my co-worker laughed.
He has a point there.

I’m a little disappointed…it LOOKS amazing, but it won’t subscribe to a published iCal file (which would have been awesome), and it all fudges up when I try and import it the way they suggest in the help file.
I can’t get it to work with my regular calendars at all
It’s probably because almost all of my events have a repeat function turned on.

Well, I’m all a-twitter about it too. It’s such a sweet calendar, and couldn’t have come at a better time…days after I lost my calendar book.
