While Andreas and I were on the bus home, I got going on a ramble about how if we’d been really smart we would have caught different busses, with one of us going to the coop while the other went to fetch the car and then by the time the spouse with the car arrived at the store the grocery shopping would be done and wouldn’t that have been efficient?

“But we didn’t do that,” I said. “Instead we rode the same bus and that means we get to hang out and spend time together right now!”

I smiled at him and caught my breath. Andreas laughed.

I thought about it for a second. “What’s so funny?”

“You,” he said.

I squinted at my husband. “Are you laughing with me or at me?”

“I’m laughing near you,” he said.
