Who wants to take a look at how Andreas is doing? From the neck down, he’s just fine. Sore shoulders and a couple patches of road burn. Nothing serious. I took some pictures as he lay snoozing this morning at the hospital, and I just now got patient relase permission to share them with you all. So! Here is he:

Dre is now home and doodling around the house comparing himself to Quasimodo. I told him he was more like the Phantom of the Opera, and then he asked if I would be the Beauty to his Beast. Aww. Such a charmer, even when he’s bruised and broken! Anyway, here’s a picture of my favorite little patient enjoying the wall of emails, Flickr comments, and Electrolicious messages you all have sent. Thanks, everyone!

Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

I’m glad he’s ok. **Sending Dre healing vibes**
And go you for not going insane over the accident. I’d be petrified sick.

The whole incident is almost exactly like what happened to my friend Dao (one of the most beautiful women I know); she mangled her face in a bike accident and still has some lingering scars, but I don’t even notice them. Beauty shines past all of that, as I’m sure it will with Dre (who all of my girlfreinds agree is an extra-super hottie!)

It’s Doctored Dre!
In our town, a bike shop owner was in a pretty serious bike accident and her helmet saved her from a devastating fate. It sits as a reminder in the front window of her shop.
Hoping for a quick recovery!

eeeek! i was looking through friends’ flickr photos first and just clicked right on the pic of andreas all scratched up and was like OMG! so scary. i’m so glad he’s ok. i’ve done the same thing (gone over a train track on bike, got front wheel stuck, bit it hard on pavement-train tracks are super dangerous!!) but i was not quite that badly injured. so glad he’s ok. just keep any eye out for any EXTRA-weirdness on his part for a while….

The patient also signed the release form for his crash video, so here’s the exclusivity.
This is from the French Canadian tv crew that was following this year’s STP

Wow, I just read this and wanted to send some love and healing energy to both of you. What a week! Rest well Andreas - you’re a healthy amazing human and I know your body will do you right in healing.
P.S. I’m sure you’ll get all the right care, but I’ll pipe up and recommend structural integration once Andreas is ready. I credit that work for the fact that I’m so *normal* after my awful car accident.
xoxo!
