Summer’s almost over and neither of our big summer home improvement projects are done. The bathroom remodel was bumped by Dre’s accident, and housepainting took on a sudden urgency when we realized holy shit — the rains are coming back soon. The house needs to be painted, like, last week.
So now there’s lots of mad darting about and picking of colors and hiring of friends and scraping of cedar shingles. We have no idea what we’re doing, but at least we got the colors picked out. Er, I think? Dark periwinkle walls, tan trim, and light blue doors. I am terrified about making this decision. We’ve already twice experienced picking out the wrong interior paint colors. I’m scared as hell to make the same mistake all over again, but this time really really visibly. That said, we actually found a house we liked painted pretty close to these colors, so we know that at least the palette is a good one. Hopefully, thanks to our friend Paul, we can get it all painted before the rains settle in …

those colors look great. don’ worry : ) its not like you’re choosing a bold or daring palette. these colors will look fine no matter what. it might turn out how you hoped, but its gonna look just fine to the rest of the world.
ps we’re choosing colors like orange, gold, purple and teal for our house…if it doesn’t go well, we’ll hvae the funniest hippy house in the neighborhood : )

let us know how it goes. we want to paint next summer. of course that depended on us getting some things done this summer - which did not happen. we’re considering a similar dark greyish/blue color but with dark trim. I bet your color choices will look great!
