Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

Wow, I’m totally impressed. Very good conversation over there on Phidelity’s blog, thanks for linking it! I have to say, Amy’s response connecting the political stuff and the dance scene via cocaine was something I hadn’t thought about. Yet another reason to stay away from that shit.

i was mostly just laughing at the comparison of Lorin to Madonna, but overall i think he “gets it”, and i think he tries hard to put the things he considers important into his music. sometimes it comes off as shallow, i guess, and characteristically “left coast” and “peace through music&dancing”, but i think it still has a point and deserves airtime. perhaps because i read bassnectar emails i could immediately see how it all related, but i was suprised that phidelity took such radical initial offense, because he’s familiar too.
