I vote for buying the hybrid, if 1. the stuff that DK mentioned (and any other mechanical stuff) won't cost an arm and a leg and 2. you have the ability to keep your subaru keys in a locked box somewhere difficult to get at so you do only end up using 2 cars 'when you really need a 4 seater awd' (like if you're going snowshoeing or something). Especially now that you're commuting, a smaller more efficient car makes a lot more sense than your wagon.
Also, you can always rent an AWD car...renting is actually pretty cheap if you already have car insurance (that cuts off most of the cost right there), reserve it online on yahoo travel or something, and apply coupons from the car company's website, your airline milage plan, and AAA (if you have it). We got a car for $11 for 3 days the other day, from hertz.

If you move to WordPress, you will wonder what took you so long. It's actually easy to import archives and it's fun to modify to your heart's content. It's always beautiful, simple to use but allows full control, and the support forums are fabulous. I had no clue what CSS was before I switched but I've learned quickly as I've wanted to change things.

If you have any questions along the way, just ask me. I'm more than happy to answer anything because, I love Wordpress that much. I don't pull my hair out anymore and that's worth a lot to me.

I'm using the Wordpress download (hosted on Bluehost) for my main blog, but for my course website I use the freely-hosted Wordpress.com.

OK, so blogging is a huge component of my job (i run a social media department of a PR agency) and i have to say that WordPress is AMAZING. That being said...you've done such a great job with your current platform...why change what already works sooo well? Just a thought. But WordPress rules (always use the hosted, full version tho for maximum octane)

before you buy a second-hand hybrid, find out if the battery has been replaced yet, or if not, how much warranty is left on the car. replacement battery packs for hybrids cost a couple thousand dollars, minimum. some are as much as 6K, but I think the insight is one of the cheaper ones.

I've owned an Insight--Zippy the Wonder Car--since 2002. I do love Zippy, though it has a lifetime record of about 36 MPG, far less than the claimed 60 MPG. This si probably due to the fact that I mostly do lots of stop and go in-city driving. It does get better mileage--north of 50 MPG--on the freeway. I like as well the fact that it's super low emissions. And I can park Zippy pretty much ANYWHERE as it's tiny. I wouldn't take it on a long trip as the ride is a bit rough and it's noisy, but it's wonderful for zipping around town.
