I really like that you’ve responded to the controversy patiently, without losing your sense of humor. Though, as you say, the edits you approve matter, the original mix of the article ended on a very different and much more consistent note. It also had funkier beats and, yes, more cowbell.

lesson learned, eh? at least it was on something like this and not, like, your book.
i like the perspective of that author, however, particularly:
“My argument is that individuals decide who they want to please (and yes, there’s no reason it has to be men), and that that is a healthy part of social existence.”
