Buzz-watching site BuzzFeed just shot itself in the foot by featuring Cuddle Parties … a trend that Gawker mocked two and a half years ago.

If you are on a trend-spotting website to see what’s hot with the kids, then you deserve to be 2 years behind.

Quick clarification about BuzzFeed: they’re not watching youth trends, they’re watching trends in web coverage.
