Damn. Although it’s almost reassuring to know that Google does indeed make mistakes. It’s such the tech golden child that a few fumbles make the company more human.
That said, I’m really into this announcing work news via Flickr trend. It worked for me, too. It’s a great way to get your feelings out there without writing anything.
