Get over it. Now. You're already a working writer. How you learn to research is by starting to research. (This from someone who became a freelance writer straight out of collage with zero journalism training.) Smart people figure out what they need to have in order to write the book they need--talk to people? Go to the library? Etc--and then they do it. We're all just making it up as we go along. (OK, some people got training in statistics or whatever in an acadeimic setting, but the rest of us? Not so much.)

Ahem. If you're "lazy," I don't dare to attempt the characterize what I am.

Which is (in part) my belated way of thanking you for the earlier copyediting exchange. You are an inspiration.

Oh, and if you weren't a little scared, I'd think there was something wrong with you. In any case, whatever this project is that you've set your sights on, I'm quite sure you'll pull it off in some grand manner or another, and sooner than you'd think.

I just clicked through to your past post, and it kind of freaked me out... I'm doing that very thing right this second. argh. I've managed to keep a pretty high GPA despite rarely cracking a book.

hrmm.
