Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
I’ve arrived in Chicago for BlogHer, and am totally loving the hotel room that Jen snagged for us. The W pretty much rocks, although the cheezy pasta room service was totally meh. Oh and the light in the swanky bathroom is sort of unflattering. But whatever: 300 threadcount sheets are making me very very happy. I needed these sheets.

Yes, we joked that it was like a kitchen pass-through. Honey? Here’s some poo. Could you set it on the bed?

They sell somepretty luscious high-threadcount sheets at Target, of all places. Open up the bags and stick your hand in until you find some you like. I’m happier with my $60 sheets from Target than I was with the $300 ones I bought at a “nicer” store.
