Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
Are there any books you recommend or any other sites/writers you find inspiring?
Sure, here are a few reads I’ve been inspired by:
I’m not going to link blogs for the same reason I don’t do a blog roll: we bloggers are an egotistical, sensitive lot and I’m uninterested in triggering someone’s insecurities over why they weren’t linked.
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

I’m not the only one who liked Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers! When people ask what my favorite books are, that is usually one of the ones I list. Usually that answer is met with strange looks…but it really was an interesting (and humorous) book! I’m so happy to see it made your list.

Fellow Stiff-likers (stiff-lovers sounds just too weird), I just read Body Of Work, another book about cadavers. It’s superficially about the same subject, but since it’s about one medical student’s relationship to her gross anatomy class it’s a very different book — similarly informative but much more personal and vulnerable than funny.
