I am SO sorry for Sassafras and you guys, too. My Simone (cat) used to abscess her anal glands regularly - a yowly, smelly, horrid procedure complete with emergency vets and those effing collars. We get them expressed at the vet every 6 weeks now until we've got the moola together to get them removed entirely. There's nothing worse than the upheaval of home life and an injured, confused little loved one bonking off walls and trying to figure out how to eat and drink. My sincerest sympathies.
