It happens that way to make us really SEE the circularity of life. I stood at my mother’s gravesite holding my infant nephew as I threw the shovel of dirt in. It was incredible.

I’m glad he’s getting a chance to say goodbye. My husband’s aunt died recently and there was almost no time between learning she’d gotten extremely ill and when she died (last week). We’re still reeling.
Sending love. And gratitude for evidence (however inadequate it may seem under the circumstances) of life’s constant renewal.
