The rains have returned to Seattle and everything smells like sweet decay and soggy wet leaves. Suddenly, organizing a bathroom shelf feels like the most exciting thing I could possibly do (the rains bring in the nesting implus) and the Netflix subscription is back up to 4 movies at a time. I debate new boots and wonder when it’s time to pull out our rolling radiant heater things. There are still plenty of leaves on the trees, but it’s time for lots more writing in journals, reading of paperbacks, and taking of baths. Napping season is right around the corner!
Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.

I am hoping the cooler weather will magically create more hours in the day for reading and writing, the two things sorely missing from my life. and cooking — soups and stews and breads. and drinking hot tea. I love fall!

Our dog Billie has that same raincoat and rain or shine she gets her walk in the park. It was a beautiful evening in St. Louis,

We’ve been in a severe drought in Georgia for a long time, but yesterday it rained all day and I was sooooo happy, there were fallen leaves on the ground and it was cold, windy and gray. I think my genetic lineage may require that I move to the Pacific Northwest or somewhere like it for the weather alone, besides the landscape/culture etc…
I am de-lurking for the first time *waves.*
