Andreas and I done the “Arise & Shine” intestinal cleanse a few times back in the day. It’s a pretty intensive thing — anywhere from 14 to 40 days of a strict fruit and vegetable diet, combined with these crazy herbal pills and what we call “glop shakes.” I’m not sure I’d recommend it, but this category tracks our experiences.
Feeling quite airy today, if you get my drift. In related news, there is nothing more terrifying than passing flatus while wearing headphones. Did it make a noise? Did everyone hear? Will laughter ensue? Even if it did, it wouldn’t be audible over the music on the headphones. OH HORRORS!
Andreas sent me this article about exercise, protein and a vegan diet, on the website of Brandan Brazier, a vegan Iron Man winner.
Today was hard. I was hungry for a lot of the day, and that makes things difficult. I think the problem was not having a bottle of good juice at work, a problem which has been remedied for today.
I pee constantly. Many many times a day and night. Does this indicate too much sugar via juices and fruit? I’ve added some cranberry tea to my diet to counter-act any sugar affects. Naturally, the tea makes me pee even more.
Weight stable, which means I’m at -3 pounds from when I started.
Energy has been pretty normal. I’m maintaining my 3x/week workouts, although I have shortened the cardovascular portion to only 20 minutes instead of 30.
[there was a great picture of a really good salad here, but I accidently erased it.]
Here’s an article about raw foods diet that also meantions the cleanse I’m on. The article is fantastically sardonic and irreverent. I love it.
