Yesterday I attended this workshop that was all about finding a balance between technology and soul. For me, that means dealing with my tendency to overuse the internet for all things. Don’t get me wrong: I love the web. It’s given me more amazing things than I could count (quick tally: jobs, friends near and […]

I’d like to know if you would share instructions for making the leg warmers out of the sweater arms.
Hey! Someone’s been reading for a few years! Back in winter 03/04, I wasn’t working much and had to go get crafty myself in an effort to maintain a steady, consistent level of franticness. (I’m trying […]

Your lips look wonderful, and I’m wondering if you sew them before or after turning it inside out, and if after, do you sew the lips after you have stuffed the creature?

This time of year, it’s crucial to keep the momentum going. I’ve found that I do best if I take a running start at the depths of winter. I know I’ll slow down eventually (February in Seattle is a study in hermitage), and hopefully I can keep as much oomph going as possible on the […]

Most Warmies are made to order, but I just put together a catalog of pre-made Warmies. Methinks some folks prefer to pick stuff out. (Also: Flickr as catalog builder. BRILLIANT!) Oh yeah and I also redesigned the Warmies page and made a happy customer user gallery.

My goodness, who’s the little busy bee here? Why, that would be me! Thank you so much for noticing.
Yesterday (exactly one week after I got the news that my work at The Paper was done), I was offered a 4 month writer/producer contract (”through the end of Oscar season”) with a movie reviews website. […]

I realize that I’m contradicting myself here, but Warmies are back in production. Hey: supply, demand, whatchagonnado?

Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, is in bookstores now.
