Daily affirmations of a word mercenary
This is where photo posts go. Despite the voyeuristic category name you won’t find any photos that are erotic or scandalous. If you want to cut straight to the chase, you can browse my photos on Flickr.
Last year I watched this video and laughed and laughed and laughed. This is my response.
"blorg"…Twice.
This photo captures me explaining to my friend Brian how I drank too much of my amazing hot cocktail. Warning: chai + pomegranate juice + lemon slices + lots of spiced rum tastes really really REEAAAAALLY good, but it will fuck you up. You may find yourself hanging half out of your tent blorging into the dirt. Your husband may then have to clean it up.
Note to self: drink a cup of chai the morning after barfing up chai cocktail might not be wise.
Trivia time! In this photo I am wearing a dress purchased in a Phish show parking lot in 1994. It’s my official “morning after” dress.

Andreas is in Missoula to meet his new nephew, and I’ll be there this weekend to say my own hellos.
For now, I get this photo of uncle and nephew meeting for the first time.

Yesterday Dre and I took advantage of the weather and hit the road for a daytrip photo date to Fort Worden. Dre’s photos are over here, and you can see mine over here or below.
How can I say this? Lately, I’ve been feeling proud of my portraits. It’s become a part of my job, and I’m really enjoy it and trying to not look like the totally clueless self-trained bumbler that I am. It’s slow going, but I feel like I’m getting better and have less results that I’m just like “oh, oops. FAIL!”

"I’m going to take a picture of you in your new house." I said. "Sit down crosslegged over there,"
Tim amiably did as told. "What effect are you going for?" he asked.
"Contentment and optimism," I answered.
