I’m continuing to muse about Lotus. What does it all mean? SDG had cut the “Event Currents” section assuming that, since Dre was my boyfriend, he wouldn’t want to do the column any more. I was like “What?!” SDG: “Well, you sleep with the guy–I though maybe he was doing you a favor!” Does he bother to call Dre or myself and ask? No, he assumes that we’re stupid and catty and cuts the page. What a dumbshit. Don’t get me started.

So, I’m diagnosed myself with the flue, folks. My skin hurts, and I’m hot cold not cold hot cold. Nothing too severe, but I guess my body had to crash.

When I told my boss yesterday that I was developing a cough, her first reaction was “working too much?”

My mother griped at me about my debt last night. “Mom, I paid you back the money I owed you–now please don’t harp on me. I bitch at myself about my debt all the time.” Sigh…Mothers will be mothers! …Even mine.

I applied for another job at the Olympian today. And I also put my resume on Media Bistro’s aweome site.

Creative Assets roller coaster. First I really REEEEEALLY wanted it. Then I didn’t at all. Now I’m inbetween. If they’ll do it on MY terms, I’m interested. But I’m not interested in negotiating. This is probably healthy.

I, meanwhile, am not healthy.

Page hits seem to be rising…20 to 30 a day isn’t unusual, and that’s much more than my friends and fam who I’ve clued in! Who are you people?

I am sick today, hacking up large rocks of yellow lung butter. But I’m heading to work anyway. Maybe I’ll stay home tomorrow. Motivation for this job has dwindled, now that I know I don’t care.

Last night’s Seelie Court party was, I must admit, a wee bit disappointing. SC is famous for parties with thousands of tulips hanging from the ceiling, fountains built into the walls, and ice sculptures. This party featured….a very cold warehouse, and some unlit strings of christmas tree lights. I enjoyed myself competely because I liked the music and there were SO many people there I adored and hadn’t seen in ages. And the space! Oooh! An amazing big ol’ warehouse just south of downtown, OWNED by a “family member” of the dance community. Nice! It had a little upstairs mezzanine that looked out over the dance floor, and many rooms that could potentially be filled…and no neighbors to piss off. A virgin space–tasty!

It was great to see N and O out, despite their exhaustion from the previous night’s failed Hawaii Five-Oh party…street brawl, mace, pretty boy Scott getting punched in the face…eesh! Glad I skipped that one. TC came out with us as well, and TW came up with Dre and I, and Echo even made an appearence with Duane! Too bad they showed up just as we were leaving. Next time, Echo! We’ll get to hang out!

Today? A trip to le bon marche de target for some tights and boots to wear to work tomorrow, and then laundry. Lots of it.
