Watch The Androids’ video, Do It With Madonna, in which drag queens dressed as Madonna, Christina, Britney, Kylie, and Pink are serenaded by the band. The lyrics kill me:

When Britney sings it sounds amazing
I like her belly and her butt
But how would you like to be with her?
She’s always hanging with her mum.

Link found via Keithers, who also mentioned (but didn’t link) a PageSix’s quote of Justin Timberlake talking about his gay fans. The article has already been taken off the main PageSix site, but I found it via Google’s fantastic cache. And it must be shared:

TEEN heartthrob Justin Timberlake isn’t sure how he feels about his huge gay following. Asked about his legions of non-hetero fans in a telephone interview with gay culture rag HX, the pop star stammered, “Um . . . honestly I’ve never really, uh, I’ve never really . . . something that I’ve thought a lot about . . . Something that I will say, you know, about the whole community is . . . that I appreciate is that . . . and the people that I’ve met that are, I mean, it’s so nondiscriminating where music goes that it’s . . . it’s all . . .” Pausing for breath, the man who took Britney Spears’ virginity then burbled on, “I don’t know, for some reason I find it in this community more than one another is that . . . you know, um . . . honestly, I don’t know. I think, uh . . . I never really thought about it. I hope that, uh, all types of different people, they like it, I mean, ’cause uh . . . it’s kinda somewhere in the middle of . . . of . . . of the styles that are going on right now . . . I don’t want to come off sounding pretentious.” No danger there.

Just indulged in the guilty pleasure of seeing “Charlie’s Angels.” I hate to admit it, but it was totally fun. Clear to see how “The Matrix” permanently changed action films.

In other news, today I got a call from a guy checking references (one of my writers had applied for a job) and was like “Do you know anyone else who would be interested in Web Producing content for a youth-oriented lifestyle site?” I was like “Um, me??” I would like to find a way to get away from Amazon…

Now is the time when I admit something some of you already know: I have a musical skeleton in my closet. Ok, so I edit a national electronic music magazine. This you know. Let’s walk through my MP3s…William Orbit “Ruby Heart,” Tosca “Fuck Dub,” Cheb i Sabbah “Divine Passtime,” Christina Aguilara “Come On Over (remix),” N’Sync “Sailing - Christopher Cross cover,” Destiny’s Child “Bugaboo.” Uh you see my issue? My music ranges from epic classical electronica, dubby smoker’s delight, Indian-influenced house beats, and then sheer, unadulterated SHITE! What can I say? I know all the words to The Backstreet Boys “Shape of My Heart.” I know that Christina’s voice is better than Britney’s. I have an MP3 of “The Thong Song,” for fooksake (although it IS a 2step remix–forgive me a little on that one.)

Yes, I have a weakness (besides being a loud-mouth) and the name of the weakness is “POP MUSIC.”

Hey there. I'm Ariel Meadow Stallings, a native Seattleite who's written my way up and down the Left Coast. Electrolicious is where I post daily randomata, but I also write for a living. My first book, Offbeat Bride, was published last year.
